The Friends sponsor two major sales during each year:

The Book End

This on-going, year-round sale features donated books or books that are no longer part of the library's collection. The Book End is located near the circulation desk. Prices range from $.25 to $1.00.

October Book Sale

  • Held in October.
  • Features donated books or books that are no longer part of the library's collection.
  • Expanded version the The Book End.
  • Books for a variety of people including students, teachers, homeschoolers, children, collectors and hobbyists.
  • Located in our garage.

You won't want to miss it!

The Friends of the Daviess County Public Library exist to:

  • maintain an association of persons interested in libraries
  • focus public attention on the library.
  • stimulate the use of the library's resources and services
  • encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the library
  • support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community.
  • lend legislative support where needed
  • support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights

Membership:

  • is open to all individuals or families in sympathy with the library's purposes
  • is open to representatives of organizations and clubs when such representation is desired.
