New Library Project

On March 16, 2005, the Library Board voted to proceed with soil testing to determine if the OPS property could support the weight of a new 50,000 square foot library. The board also voted to ask Tuck-Hinton Architects to develop plans and a cost estimate for the smaller building. If the soil test results are positive, and the estimated construction costs are within the library’s budget the property trade will be finalized. The deadline for the property trade is June 5th.
