REFERENCE is the first stop for information of all kinds. Whether you are conducting research or just looking for an interesting nonfiction read, the Reference staff can assist. Books, the Internet, database programs, DVD products, and magazines are all available to help library customers find the answers to their questions. Skilled staff members are available to assist customers with their diverse information needs.

Electronic Resources

Public Access Internet—Available free with a valid library card. Policy available online.

Interlibrary Loan—If we don’t have it, we will try to borrow it from another library at no or very little cost. Form available on line.

Suggestion For Purchase—You may suggest books, magazines, etc. for the library to consider purchasing. Form available on line.

Tours/Outreach—Tours of the Daviess County Public Library are available to school and community groups. We will customize a tour for your group. You may choose a tour of the entire library or individual departments. Will also visit classrooms, groups, organizations to give demonstration of databases and online catalog.

America's Newspapers from NewsBank provides full-text articles through electronic editions. Access 20 local, regional and national newspapers through home access or in the library. To access at home, click on home access and type in your complete library barcode number.

The Messenger-Inquirer is kept on microfilm in the Kentucky Room dating back to the Civil War.
