Story Time
We offer four fun-filled story times designed for you and your child. Children, parents and caregivers can relax and enjoy storytelling while enhancing early literacy skills. Come and join us – we'll save a place for you!
Wee Read
Ages 3 and under
For our youngest friends and their caregivers, we share interactive stories, finger plays and songs in a circle time setting. Don’t forget to stay for the Wee Craft! Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 10 am
Read-to-Me
Ages 3 ½, 4 & 5
Pre-readers enjoy an hour of friends and fun. Children and their caregivers will be enchanted by our stories, rhymes, songs and games. Our unique crafts will inspire your little artists! Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 10 am
Storybook Art
Ages 3, 4 & 5
Budding artists create their own pictures in the styles of master illustrators. Picture books are the inspiration for your child’s masterpiece. There’s an artist in every child! Wednesday @ 10 am
Outreach/class visits
To encourage a life-long love of books and reading, members of the library staff take Storytime on the road. These 30-minute programs are geared toward preschoolers and currently service is provided to about 30 daycare programs. Approximately 30% of children, under age five, are reached by the library's outreach program. For more information contact Youth Services at 684-0211, #5.
