    Summer Activities Fair 2014

The Daviess County Public Library is partnering with Daviess County Public Schools, Owensboro Catholic Schools, and Owensboro Public Schools in hosting the 2nd Annual Summer Activities Fair at the public library.  The Summer Activities Fair will take place on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 5:30-7:30 p..m. at the Daviess County Public Library.

Representatives from many organizations who offer summer activities to children in the Daviess County area will be at booths throughout the library. This event serves as a one stop shop opportunity for parents and caregivers to browse leisurely to learn about the programs available throughout the summer and a chance for early registration with those organizations.

Last year’s 1st Annual Summer Activities Fair proved to be an asset to Daviess county residents by the comments received at the event such as, “valuable information made available to the community” and “it’s nice to have all of this (14 organizations) in one place where you can take care of everything at once”. Many plan to attend the event again.

To help prevent the “summer slide” in academics, pre-registration for the Summer Reading Program will be another highlight this year along with a drawing for a prize. Be sure to make the Circulation Desk one of your stops for a library card to end your visit with one of the most valuable assets in your wallet!

For more information about this program, visit our website at www.dcplibrary.org, email [email protected], or call us at 684-0211 ext. 5.

This event is made possible by the public library and area school districts.

Booth space for organizations is limited for this event.
