The Best Summer Beach Reads for 2017

    By: Christy V. Temple

Well, school is out and it’s time to enjoy the bounty of summer. One of the best things about summer time is the ability to catch up on the things that normally we don’t get to do as much of and that includes reading some of the latest and greatest novels, biographies and other wonderful non-fiction.

Normally, I don’t seem to have as much time lately to read the way I might like to. I always come up with a million excuses as to why I can’t sit down and enjoy a great book. However, this summer my plan is to make no more excuses and truly find something enjoyable to read, not just something that I feel like I need to read because it expands my mind. In other words, I need some mindless fluff to take me away from the mundane aspects of everyday life.

So, with that said, let me give you a list of some great summer books from one of the most wonderful magazines around in my opinion, Southern Living. Afterwards, my plan is to dive right in to one of them. Of course, there are plenty of other beach reads out there as well.
