Autumn beckons us for more at the library…

Fall is here and I am so excited for so many reasons. The main reason I love this time of year stems from the fact that the temperature starts dropping and all of the beautiful autumnal colors come into play. I love the oranges, deep reds, greens, yellows, and all of the other natural deep brown hues that invade my senses at this time of the year. I love decorating for my second-favorite holiday of the year too, which is Halloween. I am already on the hunt for those perfect outdoor accessories to highlight my front walkway at home but I am conscious of wanting to do it on a budget as well.

Anyway, other than my personal reasons for loving the Fall of the year there are also lots of good reasons to love Fall at the Daviess County Public Library too. We have programs for kids, teens and adults in a big way. So, if you are needing something to do to fill your time on a weeknight, Saturday, or even in the morning stop by the library and see what’s going on. We have a plethora of programs to choose from in the months of October and November.

Go to www.dcplibrary.org and click on Events calendar. Also, stop by the library in the front foyer and pick up a Ballyhoo, a great publication put together by Kara Schroader that has all the listings for every program we do here at the library. There is something to do for everyone so don’t hesitate to stop by and check us out in person, on the web, by phone, email, etc. We always have something going on at the library any time of the year but Fall is an especially great time for fun and frivolity at the DCPL.

As a side note, I just wanted to mention that the library will be undergoing a construction project that could play a part in our ability to host the programs that we have already listed online and in our Ballyhoo. Therefore, there is always the possibility that times and dates of events could be changed for circumstances beyond the library’s control. So, please stay tuned on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and on the Events calendar to make sure that a program is still going to be held before you head out. If you have any other pressing questions, please contact us at 270-684-0211 or check the above social media platforms for any new information regarding our exciting programs!
