    Kentucky Travel Destinations

    By: Christy V. Temple

Summer time is here again and it’s time to do some traveling. Most people think of traveling to Florida or some other warm-weather locale at this time of the year. However, you should look no further than your own home state also to find some great travel destinations.

Kentucky has a myriad number of destinations that you can travel to in a day and have enough time to enjoy yourself while you are there and then come back the same day. There are also some further destinations where you can go and spend several days perusing the beautiful green meadows of our horse country near the Lexington area.

To get an idea of where you would like to go in the state of Kentucky you can stop by the Daviess County Public Library and search the online catalog to see approximately 40 adult non-fiction titles that we own on Kentucky travel and areas off the beaten path that would be exciting to explore.

Here are just a few of the titles that we own.

In addition to the multiple book titles that we own, I would also highly recommend going online and doing a Google search on “Kentucky Travel” to see what pops up. There are a multitude of websites that will steer you in the right direction and they will be more up-to-date with the information also. Here are some of my favorite websites that I have used in the past.

Hopefully, these sites will further help you discover all of the great vacation ideas there are to explore in the great state of Kentucky. As always, have a great summer and enjoy a new vacation destination.
