Kentucky State Government: How to contact officials and find the information you need at the public library

    By: Christy V. Temple

Okay, have you ever seen something on television or a local news report about a government official or an interesting issue in state government and wondered where would I go to find more information about this topic or person? Well, never fear, the library is here to help you out with that type of information. There are a variety of ways to find out more about our state government through books but also through the use of online tools as well.

Here are some of the ways I access online governmental information if I need to find out more about a topic or person. I am primarily focusing here on the Internet because the information will be more up-to-date. Here are some of the major Kentucky sites related to government work that will provide valuable information.

Obviously, there are many more websites with additional information but these are some of the major ones that I know to be very useful when people have questions about Kentucky on several different levels. Hopefully, the next time you have a question you can rely on this information to help you answer it. However, as always, feel free to call or drop by the Daviess County Public Library and we will do our best to answer any questions you may have.
