Daviess County Public Library and Verite Cinema are again providing aspiring filmmakers with a unique learning opportunity! Unscripted Film School 2 will see 6 seasoned local filmmakers coming together to direct five short films over a period of four months. From August 2014 to November 2014, local/regional cast and crew will assemble each month on selected Saturday evenings to shoot 5 shorts that will culminate in a feature anthology premiering in the spring of 2015. We are looking for interested and passionate community members to sign up and become a part of this incredible indie filmmaking adventure. Participants will receive hands on experience with the various facets of independent filmmaking, covering everything from cinematography to special effects. Registration and filming dates are as follows:
- Session #1: Registration period: July 18th – August 1st, Filming session takes place Saturday, August 16th, 6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
- Session #2: Registration period: August 29th – September 12th, Filming session takes place Saturday, September 20th, 6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
- Session #3: Registration period: September 5th – September 19th, Filming session takes place Saturday, September 27th, 6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
- Session #4: Registration period: September 26th – October 10th, Filming session takes place Saturday, October 18, 6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
- Session #5: Registration period: October 31st – November 14th, Filming session takes place Saturday, November 22nd, 6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
- Participants will be selected on a first come basis, and may register for only one session. Each session is limited to 10 participants. Participants must be 18 years of age and up.
- Each participant must obey Library rules and regulations. Anyone in breach of the rules and regulations will be immediately removed from the program and from Library premises.
- Each participant must have their own transportation or ride home on Sunday, August 17th, 2014 as the Library will close at 2 am. No exceptions.
