Genealogy & Local History Services The Kentucky Room at Daviess County Public Library

The Kentucky Room, located on the first floor of the library, is a special collection/ archive that houses extensive local history, state history and genealogy materials. The collection features books on all aspects of Kentucky, historical subject files, over 160 years of local newspapers, city directories, maps, and state and local government documents- such as census, marriage and vital records. It also has an extensive collection of genealogy books and files relating to Kentucky families.

Special collections relating to specific families or businesses are available upon request.

Experienced staff members are available to assist customers in their research free of charge.
