How do I get a card?
You are eligible for a FREE library card, if you:
If you are a Daviess County resident 18 years or older and your driver’s license matches your current address, you can apply online here!
Library cards are non-transferable. Family and/or corporate cards are not available
What do I bring to get a card?
Picture identification such as driver’s license, Military ID or Passport, or Matricula Consular card
I don’t qualify for a FREE card.
If you do not meet the requirements for a FREE library card you can pay a $45 per year fee for a library card. Please visit the library to apply for a Non-Resident Card.
A resident card is available FREE for Daviess County residents ONLY. This account will give you access to physical material in the library and digital online resources through www.dcplibrary.org. Registration is effective for 4 years and may be updated and renewed online.
You will be required to provide us with a scanned copy of a valid government-issued ID, emailed to [email protected] (your address must match the address on your application). At this point, you will be mailed a card and PIN number.
There will be a temporary barcode assigned for you to use in the meantime for our online resources. Please allow 14 days for us to process your application.
Daviess County Public Library extends a FREE Senior Citizens library card to those that are age 50 plus and live in Kentucky but outside of Daviess County. Patrons that fit this description will need to come into the library to apply.
