    How do I get a card?
    You are eligible for a FREE library card, if you:

    • are a resident of Daviess County,
    • are employed full-time in Daviess County
    • own property in Daviess County
    • are a full-time student in Daviess County
    • ages 3- 17 can have cards with signature from a guardian

    Library cards are non-transferable. Family and/or corporate cards are not available

    What do I bring to get a card?
    Picture identification such as driver’s license, Military ID or Passport, or Matricula Consular card

    I don’t qualify for a FREE card.

    If you do not meet the requirements for a FREE library card you can pay a $45 per year fee for a library card.

    I am homebound or can’t come in, how do I get a card?

    A limited use E-card is available FREE for Daviess County Residents Only.

    This account will give you access to online resources through It does not give the user access to physical material. Registration is effective for 2 years and may be updated over the phone or online.

    You will be required to provide us with a scanned copy of a valid government issued ID, emailed to [email protected] (your address must match the address on your application). At this point, you will be mailed a card and PIN number.

    Daviess County Public Library extends a FREE Senior Citizens library card to those out of  County.
