MISSION STATEMENT

To foster awareness, appreciation and long-term private financial support that enriches and advances our Library.

The Daviess County Public Library Foundation is a tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation that provides supplementary financial support for the library.

The Daviess County Public Library is one of the busiest in Kentucky. In recent years, the library recorded over 300,000 visits and over 500,000 loans. Over 133 items were checked out per hour! Library use has grown by over 30% during the last few years.

Because the demands for library services and the needs and opportunities facing the library are growing much faster than the public funds available to support them, the goal of the Foundation is to enrich, not replace, traditional tax-based support through private fund-raising from individuals, businesses, and foundations. Such supplemental funding will make a difference between an adequate library, and a great one!

The Foundation is an IRS 501 (c) (3) organization, making contributions to the Foundation is tax deductible. Gifts of cash, stock, bonds, and real estate, as well as, bequests and trusts are welcomed.

If you are interested in making a contribution, mail a check along with information to send an acknowledgement of the contribution to:
